Adventures of L and El...

...(and Inder and Aaron)

So, of course another spontaneous decision, as we were supposed to hike Neahkahnie Mountain in hopes of not only checking out amazing views of the northern Oregon coast, but also find the long lost Spanish treasure. But alas, it was not in the cards to find any gold, as we decided to check out another few locations along the way…

Perhaps it was because Ellie was such an impatient driver…

Or perhaps we wanted to see the biggest banana slug I have ever seen….

Or perhaps it was because we wanted to do Cape Lookout, and see more amazing views of the misty, foggy Oregon coast…

Regardless, Cape Lookout is a nice trail that loops down towards the point for a little over 4.8 mile round trip (I know, I know – where are the 17 mile hikes I am used to), as you traverse through dense forest, occasionally catching a glimpse of the sea until you come to the sharp point jutting straight out into the Pacific. Oh so beautiful – check it out...
