The last hoorah in G’dale y llegada en Monterrey

So, these past few days have really been a blur. Between being engrossed in reruns of the real stories of desperate housewives of the OC and actually doing errands for the upcoming study abroad adventures, this week has flown by. But, we couldn’t leave Glendale, or Glenhell, Glenhurl, or Glentucky as we have lovingly named it, without one final hurrah at the Pub! All incriminating pictures aside, it was SO great to see my fellow Tbirds again! Several rounds of drinks later, around 5:00 am, we decided it was best we finally hit the hay, since the alarm was set to sound about 20 minutes later. Nothing like a good night sleep! This morning was a bit rough to say the least, but somehow we managed to pack up the car with our mountains of luggage and make it to the airport in plenty of time. Bearing a strong resemblance to a bunch of pack-mules carrying mounds of luggage, we FINALLY arrived safe and sound in Mexico yesterday afternoon.

It is SO great to be in Monterrey and I can’t wait to be able to explore the city a bit more! Last night we stayed at an AWESOME hotel thanks to the recommendation of a friend… Hotel Safi and had some killer fajitas and tortillas… LOVE the Mexican food!

Today we moved into our new apartment… VERY cool, and we even got cell phones and internet cables… so I feel very connected ;)
